1. Earring lifters that'll discreetly keep those door knockers (and much smaller, equally stylish earrings!) from looking like they're slumping out of your ear. Perhaps you'll hang onto pairs for much longer!
2. A button headband specially made to not only keep hair out of your face, but a mask securely on your face without rubbing your ears.
3. A vinyl plastic vaccine card sleeve with a resealable top to help keep THE accessory of 2021 in fighting condition well past this calendar year. It also has holes so you can attach it to a lanyard!
Promising review: "Perfect for safeguarding the CDC COVID-19 Vaccine card. Just HATE that the CDC didn’t produce wallet-sized cards to begin with. The plastic and the zip lock are sturdy and can be attached to a lanyard. It’s definitely sized correctly for the CDC card. I pass these out to family and friends when they get their dose of vaccine. It’s necessary to protect the low quality cards with your vaccine batch number stickers."
4. A blush/highlighter duo for that *just right* sun-kissed look without looking like you're the victim of a contouring disaster. Like, can I get a little color without it being TOO obvious? Even if I layer on sunscreen like my life depends on it?!
Promising review: "I love how pigmented these are and how nice they blend into your skin. Has not faded or smeared on me. (I say this since wearing a mask and makeup has been a challenge for us.) I’ll be purchasing more shades!"
5. A high-wattage glow booster you can use alone or on top of your fave splurge-y highlighter in case you'd prefer that your shimmer is seen from space. Sometimes you could just really use that extra gleam.
This has a well-deserved spot in my makeup bag and a little will go a long way for helping you achieve maximum shimmer status. It really dials up any highlighter and, WOW you get some major bang for your buck. Here's to looking like a scarily glam alien.
6. Stain and odor detergent pods that'll help attack those rank, sweaty clothes your family accumulate at a scarily quick rate.
Promising review: "This laundry soap smells wonderful, cleans better than past products, dissolves well, and is simple to use. It was worth the purchase and the most cost effective solution that I saw when searching for a plastic free product."
7. A jewelry clasp for anyone who loves some necklace or bracelet layering but gets super annoyed with tangles. This'll help 'em lay flat as you intended!
Promising review: "These are really great for stacking necklaces. i wear three necklaces every day and this makes it so much easier to get them on in the morning. My only fault is that they still slide causing the clasp to be pulled to the front in the middle of the day, not the biggest issue for me but maybe for someone."
8. A tablet stand so you can watch, browse, or read during your down time without letting it fall on your face or making your hand ache. (I can't be the only one whose hand is a bit sore from clocking hours playing Sudoku and reading library books on my tablet.)
Promising review: "I go to sleep every night reading a book, looking at the news, or playing a game on my iPad. I am a back sleeper and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been jolted awake by the iPad falling on my face after falling asleep with it in my hands. Last night, I used this for the first time and I can’t tell you how happy I am....it is brilliant. I fell asleep and my face was safe! It is easy to use, it is the perfect height so that I can keep my head resting on the pillow. Worth every stinkin’ penny!"
9. A scratch-free cleaning tool to help you effectively get off stickers and stuck-on messes without ruining your mani.
Promising review: "The perfect handy tool for getting into tight places. It's firm enough for multiple uses but it doesn't scratch or mar surfaces. I should have gotten the five-pack, I have so many uses for these things. I think the best use yet was cleaning the sliding door track, I finally could get into the corners to get the grunge out. A great invention. And, it works as a good cuticle pusher-downer too!!"
10. SKIMS shaping shorts that are slit-friendly because you're also typing in "thigh slit dress" to narrow down your online shopping.
11. Natural anti-chafing powder to help fight against chub rub which, actually, is not a small problem! It's actually super terrible but you don't have to deal with it.
12. An ~edgy~ brownie pan for edge lovers that'll make every last piece of the brownie an edge piece but the edge pieces are more delicious than those subpar traditional middle one!
Promising review: "Because this pan is intended for the 'brownie-edge lover,' if you aren't one, this is not the pan for you. Now if you're still reading then you must have heard the rumors about this pan. Not being one that makes brownies more than once a month I just couldn't convince myself to spend over $30 on a pan. Now that I have it I will never go back to a standard pan for brownies. It gives every brownie at least two chewy edges, it's totally nonstick, and there is no oiling or flouring necessary. Cleanup is easy. A little hot water, soap, rinse, dry, and voilà!"
13. Teeth-whitening pens you easily apply and let sit a minute or two to dry. Buh-bye annoying strips and coffee stains.
I'm using a similar pen and it is sooooo easy. I even used it a few minutes before a video meeting this week!
Promising review: "I always worry whether this stuff will actually work, look good, be easy to use, taste decent, be safe for my teeth... and this stuff has it all and I'm more than impressed! This photo is just after TWO uses!! Love this product!"
14. Glitzy hair pins from a Black-owned brand made for babes with curly natural hair, meaning they won't snag!!!
SwirlyCurly is a Black-owned brand founded by Keziah Dhamm, who was frustrated that so many hair products wouldn't work well in her hair. So she solved that with the brand's accessories designed for natural, curly, and thick hair.
Promising review: "I like the look of decorative pins but avoid them due to fear of breakage. These were designed specifically for curly hair so there are no worries. They glide smoothly onto hair and can be removed without causing damage. They're also really cute."
15. Slow-cooker liners that'll lure you into using your fave lazy-day kitchen appliance even more often thanks to the one-and-done cleanup.
I adore my slow cooker but hate cleaning up after using it. So I use these handy lil' bags.
16. A ~breathable~ nail polish in a bunch of spring hues. What makes it breathable though? Well, it includes base coat, color, and top coat all in one formula! No more digging in your drawers for that top coat you forget to use most of the time.
Promising review: "The color is beautiful bright spring green as shown! Goes on easily two coats and hardens really well. Lasted me a week with no chipping my hands are in water every day."
17. A three-pack of washable bra liners for those super sweaty days because it's pretty, pretty gross when you peel off a bra to only find it heavier with sweat. Thank youuuuu summer.
Promising review: "I was skeptical at first, and although it does bunch up/not lay perfectly flat, that slight discomfort is WAY better compared to the moisture problem it solves. I don't seem to sweat as much, when I do it absorbs wonderfully. When I forget to put it in my bra, I regret it. I don't get as itchy and have rashes anymore. Wonderful product, super grateful for it."
18. Bra strap adjusters that'll keep loose straps from slipping down or peeking out underneath a racerback silhouette.
Promising review: "Love these clips. I’m always wearing shirts that have the racer back and as a mom not many nursing bras I own are racer back so these are a great quick fix so I don’t have bra straps hanging out of my shirt. They aren’t noticeable under the shirt. I’m glad that there are several of them because I have a tendency to lose small items and the best part is they are affordable! If you have a difficulty getting them on loosen your bra straps first because when you pull them in you need the straps longer so it’s not uncomfortable:)"
19. Grocery bag carriers to help cut out a few trips from the car to the house, and be a bit easier on your hardworking fingers.
Promising review: "My husband and I live on the second story of an apartment with only stairs and we have to park farther away as we live in Chicago. This makes life sooo much easier. Yes the bags are still ridiculously heavy if you pack them on there, but being able to hold all the bags at once prevents my husband or me from cutting off the circulation in our arms from the plastic bags. The handle does hurt your hand when there is a lot of weight, but you can tape it up or put on gloves."
20. Sheet suspenders to keep your fitted sheet from creeping up on the corners once and for all. A deep mattress or weird dream doesn't mean you should wake up burrito-d in that fitted sheet.
Promising review: "I have an extremely deep mattress and was having problems with keeping my memory foam mattress topper in place with the sheet — this product is EXACTLY what I needed. I highly recommend this to anyone who is dealing with sheets/mattress pads staying put on the bed!"
21. might just be the budget-friendly, actually very user-friendly meal kit you've pined after but thought didn't exist. (No more dirtying up eight bowls for one dinner.)
I've given this kit a spin and it keeps it pretty simple (which is how it's also cheaper than most any other kit), with a lot of the same ingredients appearing in your week's recipes picks.
Meal types offered: Prices are low thanks to not catering to special diets and there are 11 varied recipes offered per week. So if you're a vegetarian or have allergies, this may not be the plan for you.
What does it include? Labeled ingredients in an insulated box.
Where is it delivered? The majority of the continental US. Check availability by entering your zip code
Prices: $8.99 shipping plus /serving for plans with two servings for two, three, or four meals a week; /serving for one weekly meal for four servings
22. Goo Gone I used to remove sticky residue of (DECADES-OLD?!) magnets from my apartment fridge and you'll find so many uses for in your own home.
This worked scarily well. Just don't put it anywhere near open flame, k?
Promising review: "My drawers had yucky goo stuff from duct tape for over four years. And this Goo Gone made it look like a brand new furniture. Easy to use, and smells not so bad either. Definitely recommend!!"
23. A blurring primer for helping smooth out pores and fine lines for a smooth foundation application. Prepping your skin with the (v easy) priming step will make your makeup look so much nicer!
Paraben-, sulfate-, phthalate-, and cruelty-free.
Promising review: "I love the product! Very smooth and easy to apply! One pump does the trick! My makeup applies easily after applying this primer!"
24. Heating patches for helping ease period cramps when you can't sit in one spot all day with a heating pad.
Promising review: "This heating pad heats up quickly and lasts all day! It worked so well, I didn’t even need to take ibuprofen while wearing this. I wore it in the front for a few hours and then reattached it to the back of my pants for lower back relief. Highly recommend these!!"
25. A 10-in-1 spray you can spritz on your damp hair and let take care of basically every styling need for blowouts except finishing hairspray. It'll give you a super smooth blowout without filling up your medicine cabinet with products.
I have a very thick head of naturally curly hair and have put it through just about everything, including all kinds of hot tools, at-home dye kits, the gamut of shampoo and conditioner types, basically every dry shampoo and hair oil in existence, and just about anything else to try for a story for you dear readers. Lots of products have either straight-up failed, been meh enough for me to not recommend, or fantastic but so costly that I feel guilty recommending them. Basically, a lot of stuff ends up in the trash or pawned off on my (grateful) friends when it isn't a fit for me. But THIS STUFF. This stuff has become my go-to for spraying on my wet hair and then blow drying. Normally I'd apply a heat protector and an oil treatment or leave-in conditioner before blow drying. But this 10-in-1 treatment takes the cake! Most of the time when I use it, I don't even need to finish off my hair with hair oil (I've been doing that as an essential hair step for years now). It's really that good! Here, I have freshly blow dried hair with just this post-shower using this Amika blow dryer brush. This brush is fantastic on its own but this spray-on treatment has more or less doubled this brush's effectiveness. My hair comes out feeling softer, looking shinier and healthier, and stays looking good for days — which is especially great news because I wash my hair about every four days. 'Tis time for me to unload a bunch of hair products I now no longer need to my friends.
26. Lifting, shaping boob tape that'll stay put despite what you have planned... even under a swimsuit you're actually wearing in a body of water!
Brassybra is a woman-owned biz that was inspired by the founder Katherina's fruitless search to find a supportive bra alternative to wear with her wedding dress. She went with duct tape (OUCH) and now, well, you don't have to!
This kit includes three one-time use bra sets, three sets of nipple covers, and one test strip. It's latex-free, hypoallergenic, and can be cut to accommodate necklines.
27. A winged eyeliner stamp in case you've spent what feels like an eternity (or maybe just quar) working on your flick to no avail. Same.
Promising review: "I am not one to write reviews often, but this product has exceeded my expectations! I normally use liquid liners such as Kat Von D Tattoo, but this has drastically reduced the time it takes for me to create a winged look! I personally prefer a longer wing, but this stamp provides a template to work with and reduces the amount of time to create ‘sister’ wings — they’re pretty much twins now! The eyeliner pen itself it’s a bit broad for me, but the pigment is great!"
28. A steering-wheel table so you can catch crumbs where they start and avoid grease stains on your lap during any fast-food lunches.
Promising review: "Love this! Did have to turn steering wheel upside down, but it fits my VW Jetta. I eat in my car four days a week, and this greatly improves my dining experience. :)"
29. And a dip clip that'll hang onto your car vent because have you ever tried to clean spilled honey mustard off car upholstery? Here's to hoping you never have to.
Promising review: "I was absolutely thrilled when I found this! I always though there should be something that could hold my dipping sauce for my chicken nuggets when I’m on the go and boy does this NOT disappoint! Thanks for making such a perfectly unique item and making my on-the-go nugget dipping easier! I bought two: one for me and one for a gift!"
30. Or an eight-pack of dip clips for use outside of your car that can satisfy your saucy appetite without getting hounded for double-dipping in the communal dip bowl.
1/3-cup capacity and dishwasher-safe.
Promising review: "We are a household that loves our condiments! They are perfect for separating sauces and also for portion control while sharing. I like that they are different colors too! Definitely comes in handy when you are separating sauces for wings and need to be able to tell the difference. They stay on all of my plates great, including medium saucers. I highly recommend!"
31. A wood polish with astounding "before" and "after" pics — it might just have you seeking out all sorts of worn-out wood surfaces to rejuvenate.
Promising review: "I cannot even believe this stuff. I just purchased a house built in 1900 with gorgeous original woodwork that not had attention in quite some time. I was a little skeptical trying something like this, so I tried it out on some woodwork that is behind a dresser. Next thing I know, I'm putting this on any piece of wood I can find. This stuff is a miracle in a bottle. Do not hesitate to purchase this, I will always keep some on hand from here on out."
32. Yummy grain-free cookies in case you've been on the prowl for gluten-free sweets to keep in the pantry for what feels like 100 years.
They're made without grains, gluten, dairy, erythritol, refined starch/tapioca, added sugars, sugar alcohols, lecithin/gums, or stevia. Oh, so they're also keto-friendly too.
Promising review: "The texture on these little cookies is amazing--so crisp and light! The flavors are all delicious. My personal faves were the peanut butter and chocolate chip but I think the ginger snap and snickerdoodle would make really great crusts or crumbles to bake with."
33. A quick-dry top coat for a lasting finish over your home mani. It's always tragic when you take the time for a man, only to smudge it a few minutes later.
Promising review: "I've bought so many of these that it's insane! This has to be the number 1 top coat out there! It's durable and oh my gosh so shiny!!! I use it every time I paint my nails, and I'm thrilled with the results. Nothing else on the market compares. Don't waste your money on anything else."
34. Sugru moldable glue to help you create the organization solutions of your dreams. Overflowing coffee mug shelf? Handled. No place to hang your shower loofah? BAM!
Includes eight packs of glue that sets overnight, so you don't have to use it all at once. Can be used indoors and out as it's waterproof, heat- and cold-resistant, durable, flexible, shock-resistant, and electrically insulating (up to 24 volts).
Promising review: "Usually these types of products have disappointed me. But Sugru lives up to its promise. I used it to install a shower curtain rod without drilling holes into the wall (the tension rods kept slipping and falling, so I wanted a more permanent solution). I made simple hooks to hang bathroom accessories. And I also fixed my Mac's fraying power card. Awesome product, highly recommend."
35. An Always Pan, complete with a nonstick surface so you can finally fry an egg and let it slip easily outta the pan. (I still haven't perfected that. But I also don't own one of these!) Plus it has a vented top, mesh basket for steaming, and a spoon that hooks onto the handle.
"I have and love this pan! It just feels really nice to hold. The nesting spoon is absolutely genius, everything cooks evenly, and food just glides right off with minimal effort. If you hate scrubbing, consider getting this! Also, Our Place was founded by Shiza Shahid, along with Amir Tehrani and Zach Rosner. She's a Pakistani social entrepreneur who also co-founded the nonprofit Malala Fund, which promotes education for young girls."
36. A Tushy bidet attachment if you'd like to feel a lot cleaner down there while cutting down on your household's TP consumption. Seriously, it's getting a little ridiculous.
My colleague Melanie Aman is a huge fan of this bidet attachment. Here's what she has to say:
"This is the bidet I use and I 100% recommend to my friends, family, and to you, dear reader. Installation was pretty simple; from start to poop it took about 15 minutes. The sensation is truly something if you've never experienced it before, but the cool water will probably feel good once it's summer and my apartment gets nice and steamy."
37. A hanging jewelry organizer that'll ACTUALLY keep those bracelet and necklaces from tangling thanks to hanging loops.
Promising review: "I needed something that would save me space, but where I could still see all of my jewelry. These things are extremely durable. I bought two of them, and I have probably 50 or so necklaces on one side and maybe 30 pairs of earrings on the other side. There is not a single tear in it. In the other one I keep nail polishes. It is very convenient because you can see all the colors and it does not take up that much space."
38. An ice cream coozie to cradle your midnight snack so your hands don't get chilly. Oh, and that'll mean one fewer bowl you have to wash ;).
Promising review: "My boyfriend and I are avid Koozie users for beer and all cold canned beverages so you can imagine how thrilled we were to find this! No more using paper towels to wrap up our pints with, this worked perfect. Kept our ice cream cold and condensation outside the pint contained. Highly recommend!"
39. A tea bag organizer — it can hold 100 bags, so you can finally dedicate your tea shelf to other things while slowly working your way through your delectable collections.
Promising review: "This is an amazing tool to organize, declutter, and gain accessibility. I used to have a shelf of boxed teas that I had to rummage through when I wanted to make a cup. Now I can see what I have, I save cabinet space, and it is easy to store along side my kettle. I loved it so much I ordered a second one for my office. I get many compliments."
40. A rechargeable lighter can *safely* light your various candle babies without worrying about lighter fluid or a flimsy match.
Promising review: "This is seriously the coolest device of my winter holiday. It makes lighting candles a breeze. Yes, there is a weird crackling noise, but that's a super minor annoyance. It's a super intuitive device. Plus the lighter with the USB (included), charge for a bit, then pop it open and light ALL THE THINGS; well, candles. I don't know how well it lights cigarettes or whatever. However, for my personal intended use, it's awesome!"
41. A cleansing oil to help ~gently~ remove your day's makeup and debris without robbing your skin of moisture. Here's to a cleanser that'll knock out your mascara residue too! (Yep, it's making my waterproof mascara and liner melt in this pic mid-wash.)
I know this is a truly horrifying pic of myself to put on the Internet. But I would for this GOAT. This oil cleanser has been a cult product awhile and I've tried all sorts of cleansing oils and balms in pursuit of something that's gentle enough for my dry, rosacea-laden skin but effective on my heavy makeup routine. (Most other products just clogged up my sink and had me reaching for my Makeup Eraser for cleanup.) This product deserves every accolade you've ever read about it! This pic is a celebration of using a whole 6.7 oz. bottle, which lasts for months and months btw. You simply apply it to a dry face, massage in, then add some water. It emulsifies and becomes white, and really starts to break down makeup. It's also gentle enough for my eye area (as you can see) and makes rinsing off all that makeup super easy. After I took this pic, I rinsed all the makeup leftovers still visible on my face with just my water and hands. The bottle's pump design makes it even more user-friendly. Sometimes I just use this cleansing oil solo, but most often follow up with Dr. Loretta Gentle Hydrating Cleanser, which has become another go-to for my routine.
42. A cutting board with six mats each labeled for a specific purpose, meaning you can easily swap out for a clean mat when you're cooking instead of having to rewash the same one four times in one night.
Each mat fits snugly into top of the cutting board so they don't slide around while you chop, then seamlessly store in its base.
Promising reviews: "Perfect for dicing vegetables! Just pick up the mat and slide them into the pot! No more trying to pick them up with a sharp knife. Lots of mats included. My daughter has one so I had to buy one too. Love it."
43. A cute lil' brown sugar bear that'll prevent your brown sugar from turning into an unappetizing rock that you unearth once you've already started mixing the other cookie ingredients.
Promising review: "Just read the instructions and follow them. I was skeptical, but this bear is magical. I have brown sugar in a glass canister and I was about to throw the whole container out. The sugar was unbreakable. I came across this bear and I thought it wasn't real. I put the bear in the canister and reluctantly walked away. The next day I was pleasantly surprised to find REVIVED and soft brown sugar!!!!! Great buy!"
44. Rubber anti-vibration pads made to put a halt to a jiggling washer that always makes the BIGGEST racket. Bye noise!
Promising review: "If I washed a large load (like towels) the machines would take on a life of their own: wobbling, shaking, scooting… It’s amazing how far a large front-load washer can travel on a tiled floor. I put one disc beneath each foot of the machines, and since then the've remained firmly planted to the floor. In 15 months they have not budged even an inch. The discs are quite substantial, and seem to be made of a very heavy and dense rubber. They aren’t adhesive, but they do seem to provide enough traction with the floor to keep the washer and dryer from moving."
45. A super durable MacBook case that'll help protect that computer you rely upon a little too much from your butter fingers.
Promising review: "Really loving my case — isn't too thick on my slim laptop and it looks SO beautiful!"
